Lend an Ear Program: WIDHH offers a Lend An Ear Program which provides permanent loans of refurbished hearing aids for those who cannot afford new ones.  For a nominal fee of $140, an individual under the Lend An Ear Program can receive a hearing test, a permanent loan of one hearing aid, an earmold, and one-year of repair service. Seniors Outreach: WIDHH’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing Seniors Outreach (DHHSO) program identifies isolated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Seniors in the Lower Mainland and provides them with volunteer outreach services at home. WIDHH-BH volunteers provide companionship, home visits, transportation assistance, facilitated shopping trips, and other outings so that isolated seniors can remain connected to their communities.
