Bill was born on a small farm and spent his early life in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. He enrolled at the University of BC and graduated in 1973 with a degree in Commerce (Finance Major). He got the travel bug and took two extended trips to Europe before he was 21 years old; he still enjoys travelling as often as possible.
Bill got married in 1977, moved to Surrey in 1978 and raised two sons. They were active in many sports, and Bill coached soccer for several years. Bill acted as Chair of the Board for Fleetwood / Northwood United Church for many years. He oversaw the sale of major land parcels and buying of land for the new Northwood United Church at 88th and 156th in Surrey. He also was a periodic volunteer server at Newton Seniors Center.
Bill worked with BC Tel / TELUS for thirty years, holding roles in numerous departments, includng Marketing, Business Development, Technology Development, and Management. Bill wrote the Real Estate exam and began a realty career in 2003. He spent the first eight years with REMAX in North Delta, and is now working close to home, with Sutton West Coast Realty in South Surrey.
Non-profit organization established in 1977 providing Community Support Programs and Day Programs for Seniors in Surrey and White Rock.
