Doug served for six years as Executive Director for the South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce and one year as Executive Director for the Delta Chamber of Commerce. In the last BC Municipal election, Doug ran for Councillor for the City of White Rock.
On the Corporate side, Doug served as a Vice-President and Officer for Industrial Alliance Pacific Life Insurance in Vancouver for over 11 years before retirement and in senior management positions with General Electric in Toronto for over 18 years.
In addition to being Acting-Chair of Seniors Come Share Society, Mr Hart currently serves as Director on the board of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (VSO) and as a Director and Treasurer for Peninsula Productions Society in Surrey/White Rock.
Mr. Hart is a graduate of the University of British Columbia in Commerce. Doug is married with two boys and lives in White Rock. Doug and his family have resided in the White Rock, South Surrey area since 1992.
